legs stowed, propeller strap on, Is it safe to power up ?

You might get a motor error if the props are restricted with a strap.

I assume the Mini 2 twitches the prop a bit like the other Mavics. 🤔

You might be okay if you removed the props.

I have on occasion started mine but is unfolded without props or gimbal cover on sitting on my desk.

Hope it doesn't cause too much damage. I've accidentally powered mine up multiple times when trying to install the strap I got for it. The props actually actuate the power button when I'm putting the strap on. I like the way it holds everything in place but I think I'm going to ditch it if it keeps happening.

15 secs to unfold, all it takes for peace of mind.
Or if you normally take props off to store then 5 secs to detach gimbal guard.

Evidently it doesn't harm the mini 2 to start it with arms folded and gimbal cover off. How else would you run the IMU calibration?
Didn’t read the title of the thread. Of course that’s fine but don't
leave the gimbal cover on while doing the calibration.
