I go camping alot and love Lake Hogan (in Valley Springs)...its about 2 hours out of bay area (1 hour from my house on Tracy)... I see a few drones there and I've droned it alot.

had to be...I never fly in windy conditions (too scared) probably because of what you experienced... I flew at Lake New Hogan (Valley Springs, CA) last weekend to practice my flying... and make a new pc screensaver :)

I bought a 2 port car charger for my batteries from amazon...probably one of the best purchases as I can charge on the road or from my boat and just keep flying...

I get that error too..not sure if I see it every time but I just ignore and keep flying...flew it quite a bit while camping last weekend and didn't notice anything wrong while flying...

Yup, i used the cable that came with it...i really like the tab 4, i wouldnt mind picking up a refurbished one if one comes up...

Yup, i ended up returning the mini and buying a new ipad...it installed the go app fine...but i found it to big for my liking so i gave it to my wife and using the Tab 4 now..

After thinking about an Ipad mini (not an Apple fan) and trying a cheap Android option (7" Digiland tablet..no camera view)...I have settled on the 8" Lenovo Tab 4 Android tablet. I bought a holder for it (see pic) but I realize it does fit in my Air controller. It works fine as I can now see...

I broke down today and bought a refurb ipad mini (MD531LL/AB) for 129.99 on bestbuy.com...it has IOS 9 so it's suppose to work with the DJI app... I'll soon know I guess..

just for the heck of it, I'm gonna set the tablet back to scratch and just install the dji app...wel see..

wow..that's a nice tablet (nvidia shield)...bummer they don't make it anymore...

Im leaning that way Ral...waiting to see what deals come up for an ipad mini during xmas...will check the compatibility list to see what a better android option is as i do prefer an android tablet

I did try to play with it...nothing to view on tablet...I know the camera itself is working because when I wave at camera, I could see the auto setting move back and forth on the settings..

I shouldn't have to because I've set up everything for auto.. as I've said earlier, I'll plug my phone back in and view shows fine...when I plug tablet no camera view (and made sure no plug in side port of rc)
