Android 9 Pie with DJI Go

DJI Go works just fine on Android Pie, provided you are using the .21 release or higher. Earlier releases will simply not get past the initial splash screen. However, the .21 release has horrible video pixelation and breakup problems, making the app almost useless (although highly effective...

There is no current fix for video problems on Android

I can confirm that the .21 version does not work fine on a Pixel XL running Android P, developer preview 4. Versions prior to .21 don't even start on Android P; the .21 release runs but with glitchy video. Litchi also fails to start on Android P. I'm hopeful this will all shake out in the...

    Suddenly having Lag/video pixelation? Fixed!

To make matters worse, anyone running the beta version of Android P can only use the .21 release, which has all sorts of video issues. I thought I might try Litchi, but it won't even start under Android P. Hopefully compatible versions for both apps will soon be released and solve this problem.

    Video corruption on Android P?

At this point, I'm between a rock and a hard place. There is no downgrading the app, since earlier versions don't run at all under Android P. And I'd rather not revert back to Oreo. It may be time to use an older phone with an older version of the app as an interim controller until Android P...

    Video corruption on Android P?

I flew today for the first time since upgrading my Pixel XL to the DP4 beta release of Android P. The DJI Go app previously did not run on Android P, but the update released today does work. Unfortunately, the video feed displayed on my phone while flying is terribly pixelated and corrupted...

RTH after Signal Loss: log file missing?

Relatively new pilot here, 10 or flights so far... On a recent flight, my controller reported that it has lost connection to my Mavic Pro. The screen went black and white on the DJI app (running on Android, if that matters) and my heart rate went to 180 or so. I could not tell if the remote...

    Hello from Georgia

Hello from Newnan! I'm still new to this hobby but trying to fly more and more to perfect my skills. Yesterday, I triggered my first RTH when I fly over and past some distribution power lines and lost contact with my Mavic Pro. It was terrifying to see the display fade to black and white, but...

Initial Zoom Factor on Map View?

Well, talk about responsiveness! This appears to be fixed in the version released today, 4.2.4.

Initial Zoom Factor on Map View?

Oddly enough, my version of DJI Go 4 (4.1.22) running on Android 8.1 does not have an offline maps option.

Initial Zoom Factor on Map View?

I do have offline maps downloaded for Google Maps, I do have location services turned on, and have a connection to the internet. It isn't that the maps don't show up (they do), it's that the initial zoom factor is to set to "see entire hemisphere" when the app starts up.

Initial Zoom Factor on Map View?

New Mavic Pro owner here, with three whole beginner flights under my belt, and lots of anticipation for many more... When I start flying with the DJI app (on a Pixel XL, if that matters), the "map view" in the lower left corner of the display is always zoomed out to show the entire world. I...

What do you guys want to see?

As a new owner who has yet to fly (too cold out right now) this would be really valuable. There is so much to learn and the nagging fear that I've missed some crucial setup item or calibration still haunts me. It would be a real confidence booster to have a video that starts with opening the...

    Piece of CRAP

Very new user here (got my Mavic Pro as a Christmas gift; I have never flown a drone before but am super-excited to learn this new technology). I can somewhat sympathize with gandk452 from the frustration perspective, but certainly not the "annoy the very people who could help you" perspective...
