I saw one more RID module that is FAA-approved from uAvionix called pingRID: https://uasdoc.faa.gov/listDocs/RID000000132
I placed an order for one, and should get it mid-April.
It has been a while since I last posted here since getting an Inspire 2, but I have been regularly watching the list of Remote ID-compliant drones monthly hoping to see the Inspire 2 on the list. Mavic Pro Platinum is on the list, folks, so if you have one, no need to buy a broadcast module...
Salt water is pretty much a death sentence for any electronics. I would absolutely not use it. A spare is $45 ... that's pretty inexpensive compared to the $149 for a Mavic 2 battery or $360 for a set of Inspire 2 batteries.
It seems as though DaVinci Resolve can be strange with H.265 footage. I have a friend who has the free version and couldn't get his H.265 footage from his Canon EOS R5 to show up. He sent me a sample, I put it into my copy of DaVinci Resolve Studio (paid version), and it showed right up.

With the sticks being a lot bigger and having a far wider range of motion, I find it easier to make precise movements. Here's a picture of the Cendence controller + 7.85" Crystalsky:
It is also capable of faster maneuvers (58 mph). With that said, this is the wrong drone for run-and-gun or...
After two years of flying Mavics, starting with the Mavic Air and moving up to a Mavic 2 Pro, I have taken a leap of faith and picked up ... an Inspire 2! I just want to thank everybody for the past two years. I have learned a great deal and enjoy your company. Don't worry ... I will still have...
There is a regulation against flying over people:
A report to the FAA is most certainly warranted, whether that person is flying under Part 107 or not.
I had a drone photography gig around May this year near Lake Lanier and called up the USACE for clarification about their rules. The chief park ranger called me back and let me know that as long as I am taking off and landing from private property and flying in accordance with FAA regulations...
