This came out one day before I hiked a mountain to map some rock fractures with the Mavic. It flew very well. I did grid survey flights and can tell you the altitude exif issue is fixed!
I’m going to be hiking and flying a mission in the Rocky Mountains in a couple days and am wondering what gs pro is going to do for altitudes? In the newest version it shoes various altitudes now in the flight plan as you can see in the screenshot. I know that it uses take off altitude as your...
I have mavic 1 and 2 as I expected some delay. I’m just surprised DJI ground station doesn’t support their own product yet. This is not third party app. Just anxious to see what this new drone can produce for maps! Can’t wait. Glad to hear litchi is close to releasing update.
Bought the drone for mapping work. Ground station nor Lichi support this drone yet for surveying, why haven’t DJI updated their app yet. I would buy litchi if it supported it but no support either.
You'd have to mount a gnss/gps receiver on the drone to get accurate altitude, even then it's only 1-2 meter accurate , they also typically require a computer to record the data to, I know this because I have full sized aircraft mapping setup with A6D Hasselblad and two gnss/imu receivers for...
It’s not accurate enough but it’s used by photogrammetry software to initially align the imagery. Imagery can still be aligned without this data but it’s not as good. Once aligned you then enter your surveyed ground control points to make the ortho/dem accurate.
I've flown in-30°c in Canada for 15 min flights at a time without issues. Just keep batteries warm and climatize the drone before flight. No jittery video.
I flew in feeezing fog last week. -10°c. Fight was 30 seconds, blades had ice on them after landing and inspecting. Won't be flying in freezing fog again. Didn't have any warnings but also didn't fly for long.
I'm assuming you bought the Mavic with a credit card. A lot of credit card companies provide ridiculously good insurance, which most people seem to forget. Sorry for your loss. Those mistakes hurt. I would go back and check ditches though. You'd be surprised how long something can stay on top of...
