I went wild after going through the "replace the props" warnings I got after update the firmware and ordered them from three different sources and they have all finally arrived. I haven't installed any of them because my mini flies just fine and I no longer get any warnings. But when you order...
I got that warning during each flight after I updated the the firmware. Then I was prompted to upgrade firmware of the batteries, which took about 30 seconds to download for each battery. After that, no more warnings. I don't know how this all works, but it seemed to fix the issue.
When I upload images for various social media sites, I just export them as 1 meg files. Larger files are just a waste of time the and the images will not look any better at all.
Someone mentioned going into the Compass Setting on your I-Phone and turning on the "Use True North" setting instead of the "Magnetic North Setting" to help with this problem.
Just fold the Mini's Props like they suggest to avoid issues. I was also asked to upgrade the batteries firmware after downloading the latest firmware and the warnings stopped after that.
I ordered a set from DJI and they arrived in a bit over a week and were shipped from China. I think B&H Photo also sells them. I also have a set of Carbon Blades from Baggood.Com on the way...from China. But I have not replaced the props yet as even with a small chip out of one fo the blades and...
It seems to fly just fine with the message on the screen, but I think it would be best to land it. I got the message 3 times as I would continue to fly it, then after I updated the batteries, I've not had them pop up since. I don't get it.
I noticed the prompt to update the batteries when I was scrolling through the menus in my kitchen. After I did that to my 3 batteries I took it out for some test flights and the prompt/warning to return to base and change the propellers never (so far) came up again. So of course, I wonder what...
Yes, and I think the lightness also protects it. Just stay in wide open spaces while you are learning and trust the Return to home button when it gets way out there and out of sight.
Go ahead and fly it but keep it close at first and over grass preferably. But I've been flying mine with roughed up blades and a chip out of one of them from hitting some branches and it still flies perfectly.
Launching my MM off the top of my car seems to screw up the direction triangle at the bottom of my screen. I think it best to launch is with the MM facing directly away from you and the controller to get the best direction reference point on your screen.
