Here's the best image I could grab easily. The scale (Reading 3.6g) was re-zeroed after the paper towel and stamp sheet were in place. Red dual LED FireHouse Technology board. $25.99 with free shipping. I'm impressed so far.
My LED's arrived in the afternoon mail. They are tiny! Smaller than a postage stamp and painfully bright also. The red unit is going between the rear vents above the built in status lamp, centered left to right and between the body seam and the top of the lamp pane. I'm charging them now and...
That's useful information, thanks. My plan is to mount the red dual to the rear panel between the DJI logo and the built in light on my Mavic Pro. that area is rear facing and angled down slightly and I'm hoping it might give me better visibility because of that. Worst case, I'll get the 4...
I have 2 twin LED units on order for delivery today or tomorrow from Firehouse. One white and the other red. I want them for giving me a better visual while in flight without having to hunt in the sky for my MPP all the time . I’ll report back after a few trial flights.
Thank you. It's my favorite setup so far. I am now using it with a 3 sided, folding hood. It's about as comfortable as putting a mini iPad in the folding handles, but the Pro screen is brighter and it gives you the option for a neck strap for support. It also raises the screen about 5"...
I use my iPad Pro 11" with it's 600 nit brightness. I have a rather unusual holder for it that I bought on Amazon. It is no longer available there and the only one I saw on Ebay is from an Australian seller. Here is a link to at least provide a visual sample...
That seems equitable, that's what most other companies do also. The difference is how presentable they make the replacements. Apple refurbs for instance, are indistinguishable from new devices. My opinion is that refurbs have been scrutinized more than the average device from the production...
Making me wonder if "V" is the new refurb indicator. BTW, I ran both serial numbers from the photos and they were both returned this: Model: Unknown, build on: 29. September 2018 . Probably due to not having been registered yet. But I'm just speculating.
Do we really even know that the R has been dropped for a fact? I would think at the least that any retail boxed unit should be marked clearly if it is a refurb. I think that even if the box is marked Refurbished, it should also be designated somewhere on the device itself. Does DJI monitor...
My original drone box with the R in the middle has no box markings or indication it was a refurb. I don’t know if post #10 refers to change in serial numbering policy or is only product type specific.
How did you determine the significance of the R in the serial number? I have heard about the prefix and suffix placement, but anywhere in the number is new to me. Is there a reliable source that describes this coding?
I ask because the original drone that was replaced had an R in the middle...
I suppose that's possible, however it does mean that vendors could be buying them from DJI and selling them as new instead of refurbished, pocketing the difference. I seriously doubt they would want that sort of ambiguity about the status of their product. They seem better than that.
I just ran the serial # of the replacement unit and it comes back as "Model: Mavic Pro, build on: 11. October 2018". this was the replacement for one I sent in around Nov. 10th or so. Based on this I will assume they replaced my Pro Platinum with a brand new unit. Quite nice of them I must...
I sent in my Mavic Pro for repair last Nov. and it came back with a serial number that did not have any "R" prefix or suffix. I also got a replacement controller that looked brand new without any "R" serial number. I think they may have replaced both with new units, but all I have to base that...
