My only try at handcatching my M3P was on a boat, which is hard enough to land on, and let’s just say it was a bloody affair. I also always worry about spinning props so close to eyes.
I think more recently they’ve shortened the time to discharge. I noticed on some batteries I charged the other day - from a used drone I purchased - that the discharge was set to 2 days. I think that I also saw that on my own (purchased new) batteries.
I also have a Mini 3Pro, but feel like I’ve never used all of the capabilities of my M2P. I just bought a Mavic 2 Zoom to add to it (and to get more batteries).
I had an incident with a bush where I had flown out along a low wooden bridge, and then turned around to return. As I was flying back, the drone drifted to my left, so I nudged the right stick to the right slightly, but since the controls were reversed that pushed the drone further off course...

I appreciate the intention, but I didn’t want it charged - I wanted it in hibernation mode to put in storage for use down the road. Sorry, I think I’ll have to pass now.
