At the very least, everyone should use RTH once in a while to make sure that the behavior is what you expect/hope it will be if you should lose the link and have it start RTH automatically. It’s just prudent to do that.

Actually, you would WANT that to happen, rather than just rising 50 meters and then heading for the (even higher) home point.

@WaldenKirsch - I emailed Thor’s Drone World to inquire about a LifThor bracket for my M2P’s Smart Controller, and was able to purchase the very last one they had, so try an email. You might get lucky.

which aircraft(drone)/controller combinations display ADS-B info on their screens? I don’t think I’ve ever seen it on my Mavic 2’s or Mini 3 Pro. Just got a 3 Pro but have hardly flown it…

What you MEAN to say is that they have a “book value” of zero, having been totally depreciated. They can (and obviously do) have economic value if someone is willing to pay you for them. Your sale of zero book value assets will generate taxable income. There is no IRS prohibition against a sale...

There are some vendors who supply skins for drones - they might do as good a job as the more onerous ceramic coatings. Or maybe consider a “rainsuit” offered by an approved vendor on the Forum (Phantomrain.org). Or just BE CAREFUL!

You might want to look at Dronelink. I know some people like it but in my case I found that the simulated flight and the actual flight were not the same, and not in a good way. (On my Mavic 2 Pro)
