I would like to present our project that we’ve been working on for the past year. It's a control app called DroneControl, developed using official DJI SDK together with their new UX SDK. It basically enables you as a drone operator to start a livestream session to anyone in the World and even...
Yes, as mentioned we do support having two users control the drone at the same time, one can control the gimbal camera while the other can fly. Though regarding OP question, one user can theoretically be on the other side of the planet to control the drone, but the drone owner that is on the...
Hello @Drone_Pilot !
Unfortunately we haven't yet had time to properly test it on the smart controller. But given that it's basically running Android OS it should work.
Hello!
Sorry to hear that! We still have 30min per month of streaming for free, which resets on the 1st of each month.Would you prefer if there was option to just outright buy streaming minutes?
Yes that is correct, it should stream locally as the WebRTC discovers that both devices are on the same network hence no need to go out in the Internet looking for the shortest route between these two devices.
Not sure why it would reset the connection once you already have initial live stream...
Hello Ruly!
Thanks for trying our app to solve your pressing issues. As you already mentioned, we support this use case with controlling the drone via PS/Xbox controller. So actually our current free monthly limit is 30min, then 200minutes for HOBBY package and 1000minutes for PRO package. If...
Thanks for sharing that. We've actually had a similar experience with using DJI Go app, using RTMP protocol for streaming. Unfortunately even if you select ultra low latency for streaming option there is still quite a lot of delay, i.e. based on our testing around 4 seconds. Which sounds...
Closed beta release has ended. We've got valuable feedback, thank you all for participating. We're now in open beta release (see main forum thread). You can now download the app freely on the official Google Play Store here without having to apply for it.
Yes we definitely plan to do the iOS version if Android version attracts large enough audience. Currently this is a proof of concept product, as we aren't sure if B2B (Enterprise) wouldn't actually be a better fit for this kind of service.
It's not only for remote viewers. For example, one way to use this is to fly your drone from the comfort of your house, by putting the remote controller outside for line of sight, and then connecting to it via desktop computer or via big TV screen web browser. As noted on our site, we actually...
Yes, there is certainly possibility for technology to be used either for good or bad intentions. Unfortunately for what purpose this technology is going to be used is outside of our control.
Hello @Flycaster !
Thank you for your feedback. Actually the part for letting viewer control camera gimbal and take flight controls is optional and is disabled per default. Also we knew that lots of users might have second thoughts enabling this, that's why we've taken extra effort to enable...
