    Flying around Jim Thorpe Pa.

I did a flight at the "100-mile view" a couple years ago. Great views especially in the fall.

Not sure I’d try this type of launch!

Only with my tinywhoop in angle mode, never a Mavic. I probably wouldn’t even try this with my 3.5” cinewhoop. Don’t want to replace ANOTHER set of broken prop guards.

New to drones in Philly, seeking guidance

I'm also in the western suburbs like Walleye. Other than the PHL airspace, be aware of TFRs from the stadium complex and from presidential travel. Joe visits home (Delaware) regularly and so is a huge TFR so always check your B4UFLY or AirControl.

Told I couldn't Fly Over Resort....

Those red lines are lifts, the blue lines are ski runs. Canyons ski area has been there for 50 years.

Flying in Designated PA State Parks

I believe the AMA website site has info on the Beltzville club where you can find the address of the field and rules. The apps you mention do not reflect the state parks in PA because the state does not control airspace. So it’s not against state regulations to fly over the parks, just to take...

    Freefall, safety concerns, overflight proposals

You could take off on the sidelines right at the 50 yard line and go straight up. With enough altitude it won’t be much different than hovering over the center of the field. Would be pretty easy to square it up in post if it has to be a perfect rectangle. Best to do this during rehearsal.

    Pro? Really???

ProRes is visually lossless, not uncompressed. There are several levels of ProRes compression, from Proxy on the low end to 4444 XQ on the high end. (Not counting ProRes RAW) The M3 uses ProRes 422 HQ which is the highest 422 quality ProRes offers. As a side note, 422 is already compressing the...

    Exton Park?

WIlson Farm Park is in Treddyffrin Township. Their park rules have no specific mention of drones, UAV or RC aircraft, but there is a broadly-worded prohibition against "vehicles...aircraft (including but not limited to ultra-light planes and hot-air balloons), and/or other motorized devices...

    D-cinelike or not ?? H265 4K 50 fps

10 bit doesn't offer more dynamic range, it just gives you more data to work with when you are color correcting. This made log on some DSLR/mirrorless cameras pretty useless if they didn't have 10 bit. An 8 bit log image will start to fall apart when pushed too far in cc, creating lots of...

    My drone "spying"

There's plenty of space around a ball field to shoot the action and not be over people. I don't think the OP is talking about a huge stadium.

Has anyone mounted a strobe to the bottom of your MA2?

Just about 500m. Going to try again next overcast day.

MC-CASES Case for DJI Mavic Air 2

I've been a Pelican die-hard for quite a long time and Nanuk was the first non-Peclican case I bought for camera gear that I actually prefer. I'd probably get the Nanuk for my MA2 if I was packing it in a vehicle with other hard cases.

Has anyone mounted a strobe to the bottom of your MA2?

Well, I flew in bright daylight using the red/green and it was no easier to see than without. Having the left/right orientation was helpful though. I think it's biggest benefit will be overcast days when the light grey aircraft blends in too well with the sky.
