    Life in the English Countryside

The decision in favour of the M2Z was a mixture of timing, pricing, and the zoom lens. The price of used MP Platinums on eBay was quite high in the couple of months preceding the launch of the Mavic 2’s. When the M2Z was announced at £1099 with improved tech I thought it was worth the extra. (I...

I like shots of ploughing and harvesting. Did you do any post-processing on your video? I’d love to get some shots of my own like this but by the time I got my M2Z they were all finished round here. Still, there’s always next year.

    Tracker Needed?

Mad_Maru… From what I’ve read, the consensus seems to be mounting on the battery is best as that position places it furthest away from the Mavic’s compass. A Velcro pad on each battery makes it simple to swap over when you change batteries.

    Tracker Needed?

It’s like insurance, you won’t NEED it until you NEED it. As far as I understand it, If the controller maintains contact with the drone it’ll be tracked on the map to its final resting place. However, if the flyaway is due to a comms failure between controller and drone, that’s when a tracker...

    Newbie from Shropshire, UK

Thanks for the warm welcome all. I’ve taken my first few flights now, just in the back garden which, luckily, is quite large, and I’m super impressed by how stable and controllable the Mavic is. I’m keeping it in Beginner mode for the time being and just concentrating on developing my flying...

Hi from Cheshire. Mavic 2 Pro

+1 on the Drone Assist app, it really is the business. It’s so helpful in pre-planning where you’re going to fly before you ever leave the house. Don’t feel too disheartened, once you get a couple of good flights under your belt you’ll be over the moon (not literally, coz that would contravene...

Figured a bunch of things out

Your vid is really cool. I loved the fast cutting perfectly timed to the music and I’ve not seen those nifty shifty transitions before. It must’ve taken days to put that together.

    Newbie from Shropshire, UK

Hi everyone. Really glad I found this forum – very active and knowledgeable. Good to get a perspective from other parts of the world too. I’m in Shropshire, England. A very rural county situated (for those not familiar) roughly between Wales to the west and Birmingham to the east. I’m a...

    Back leg hinge scraping

A couple of weeks ago a Mavic 2 owner Tweeted to DJI Support about this issue. I’ve copied their response below. Personally I’m not entirely convinced by DJI’s reply – all the YouTube reviews I’ve ever seen on DJI products comment very favourably on their build quality, so a back leg scraping...
