I did the same trick overrode the 20% return ....... trying to be a bit cocky it ended up a tree a good 70 feet up and took 3 days to get it back ......... Luckily back in tact and non the worse for the ordeal. Lesson learnt I will never do it again.

I totally agree with your way of thinking I did the same, I am always wary about cheaper options from faraway places I would rather have the luxury of taking it back to where I got it from and them doing something about it. I ended up at jessops for mine and paid the list price for the combo...

Ok folks some more playing about ......... I found connect it all up fire it up unplug the usb to the pad put it back in again it all seems to be in order ??????????? This so far has been a ground test no props fitted ............ Next phase, work and weather permitting I hope for an actual lift...

I need a micro to micro cable but not too long. I have seen vids Ipads connected via the bottom port, maybe a no go with Android?

I bought a Lenovo Tab 3 I connected it up with the usb on the bottom of the remote to micro usb on the pad ...... No connection ?????? I then used the short micro to micro it seemed to connect no problem. I then connected the galaxy 7 via the bottom usb to the phone, again no go ......... went...

I have been flying around here. clee hill radar station - Bing images I put it in the van window walked a few hundred yards down the dirt track .......... Switched on ....... ;) Still got a van. I will do a more in depth test when I get the chance and let you know my findings.

I have had a play with it it seems to function ok, I have not tested it to any extremes yet and it is one item I really do not want to use as a necessity also where I am situated there is not much in the way of mobile network activity.

Where we are there is no such thing as a mobile network :(
