If you take your eye off it, more than a couple hundred feet out, you can lose it. So in general its the neighbors who are close when you take off and land. My only complaint was because I was lower photographing some road work. So at 100 feet he noticed it.
Tip: Don't always quote the law at people. You can fly a lot more places than people think, as long as you follow the rules. This includes your neighbor's yard. You may have a neighbor get upset, because they assume you are filming them for some reason, or they think their property...
Look up up your parks rules. National Parks are the worst as they have been running under a temp ban for 6 years now. No motion to create a real set of rules. As said 249G is not a DO anything you want Drone in the US. it saves you $5 on registration. Not much else. In Canada it moves...
You might look at something easier to carry that a plastic suitcase. I have this for my Air 2. Still protects but a whole lot easier to carry around. This has a hard shell inside the fabric and padded hard protectors in the dividers. Amazon.com : Lykus M1 Water Resistant Travel Backpack...
I know its been a few months. but since I am looking to live near Sequim and fly drones I thought I would add 2 cents.

I have not done a full search to see if there is prior art for some of the claims or any court decisions.
They look exactly like a Mavic when you toss out the artistic industry design.
When you read the CLAIMs it talks specifically about arms with motors at the end that fold against the body of the drone. It also references putting the landing supports on the end of the arms for better stability...
That is why we go to Drs when sick and Attorneys when we need to file a patent.
Differences:
Its not COPYRIGHT it is PATENT, very different.
a) This is DJI Suing Autel for different patents they had and they though Autel infringed on. This related to Autel's first commercial drone that looked...
Remote ID version one is probably 5 years away. Version one will not handle occupied drones.
But we already have self-driving land cars. And in many ways, there is more dangerous.
First versions likely be as controlled service.like Uber Air etc.. Vs George Jetson...
Not if the drone is under 250G. Thus why I am keeping the Mini for Canada and the Air 2 will stay home.
Most US rules except registration apply even below 250G
In Canada, the Mini is a Micro Drone. Basic Rule = Don't be stupid.
It does not fall under either Basic or Advance Operation rules...
