Did you load the extension pack? Are you starting the virtual machine and then nothing?

I run VB in Win 10 for programming radios (on a Lenovo laptop) and I run it in Mojave to run Win 10. I initially had an issue getting the virtual machine built, but I was messing up. Both installations have been solid.

True, that is why I caveated my comment. Not all civil aviation aircraft around the world are using it. Again, it is just one of many tools.

Have you tried an app like Flightradar24? It the aircraft is using ADS-B technology the app or their online site FlightRadar24 will give the altitude. I use it regularly for situation awareness. It would be worth a try since it is free. It will also identify the aircraft by Make, model and tail...

Sorry to hear about our loss. If you post the log here and it shows a hardware failure in the drone you will at least have data to take to DJI to support your claim for replacement.

I would check the specifications section of your drones manual to see what the operating temperature they specify. For instance for the Mavic 2 it suggests an operational range of -10°C (14°F) to 40°C (104°F), the Battery guide suggests the same range. Like @msinger suggested temps in a car can...
