Thinking of buying a Mavic Air ?

I went from the P3A to the air as well. Great drone, and I use it more due to the portability. That said, I think I would hold off until the mavic mini is announced. The same portability, similar camera and gimbal and significantly longer battery life, if rumors are true. Plus under 250 grams...

DaVinci Resolve 16.1 Output Format Restrictions

You can generate 4k video. Just not h.265. You have to use h.264

    Buying Mavic 2 pro

I found the fly more pack worth it, but you aren't really saving much if any cash. I like the bag and the charging hub and car charger are useful. I got a pack that included the official pack, plus 3 lipo bags, a landing pad, and a few other less useful items for about $360. If you're not...

    Frequency

I personally would use auto settings. 2.5 will give longer range, but it depends on congestion. I have found that improving the antenna with your set up, or even one of those slip on dishes, plus connecting to the controller via cable makes a noticable difference. I think the controller's wifi...

Phantom standard 3 to mavic air

I haven't seen any big advantage is windy conditions between my p3a. Air or m2p. But, if it's really windy I don't usually fly.

Phantom standard 3 to mavic air

I went from the p3a to a spark, then air. I haven't broke out the p3a since I got the air. It was all about the portability. The air really killed it for me. Better camera, similar battery life, more flight modes, and so much easier to take with me. I have since purchased the m2p, but I still...

I had the same issue last weekend. I disabled the bottom lights and it landed for me

Just got a mavic air !!

True, but I find the m2p in the fly more bag just as portable.

Just got a mavic air !!

The air is fantastic, especially for the price. If you don't mind paying double the price, the is m2p fantastic. But if you're on a budget, or just getting started, the air is a great choice. If budget isn't a consideration, the m2p is worth it.

    Range Extenders

Do you really need the extra range? I don't think I would bother unless I was getting dropouts.

Looking to buy a Mavic 2 soon

I just got my M2P w/ smart controller a week and a half ago. Loving it so far. I love the controller. I'm not sure it's worth $700 purchased separately, but with a new drone, definitely. I have been flying a mavic air with my galaxy 9 s+, but not having to use my phone is great, and the screen...

Going to Buy IOS phone or Ipad Mini Question

The current iPad is pretty long in the tooth. For me, it's more about size. The iPad Mini fits in the Mavic Pro/Air's controller without any adapters. One less thing to carry. You need an iPad mount to use the full size tablet.

Going to Buy IOS phone or Ipad Mini Question

I use both my Galaxy S9+ and my iPad Mini. Usually the mini. You do not need the cell network to fly, but I usually tether it to my phone so I get the proper imaging from Google Maps. The Latest iPad mini works well and on my Mavic Air, It fits in the controller without difficulty. They are...

Saw this guy land in my yard

It's a Broad-Winged Hawk. You can tell from the tail. Three dark bands separated by white bands. Several years ago, I saw 4 of them perched on a tree near my house. (North East Massachusetts) They migrate this time of year.
