    Hello from Stirling, Scotland

Well, only 75. How sweet. Welcome to the group from Dorset. Last year my wife enjoyed the Smith Art Gallery and Collection in Stirling. I have a Mini1 and my wife and I sold our microlight last year (I’m 82) as it wasn’t getting enough use. As others have said, this is the perfect hobby for...

New pilot who got confronted when flying, I need to check I'm in the right here.

The problem is well understood. National Trust and others can only ban you from Taking Off and Landing on their property. If you take off outside it and then fly above the minima set up in the rules, they have no command of the sky above them. That is entirely down to the Civil Aviation...

    Hello from Devon, England.

Welcome! From Dorset. I graduated from a Welcome from near Dorchester, Dorset. I also graduated from a P3A to a Mini 1 and use a mixture of DJI Fly and Dronelink. Good luck with it. The mini is a great bit of kit! Mike

    Well—it happened. Neighbors complaining.

I have one neighbour who is building a new house on the property and I offered to do occasional video of its development. He accepted with alacrity. In order to complete the circuit, I have to overfly three other properties. So I spoke with them all and asked if they minded the occasional pass...

    New Pilot

Welcome to the group! There's a lot of very knowledgeable people on here. I read the daily and weekly digests like a thriller. Well .. er .. that's a bit of an exaggeration but only a bit :) Mike

Might DJI replace instead of repair?

It is a sad reflection on my flying ability but I'm a bit of an expert sending crashed drones back to DJI. Being in Europe the DJI Repair Centre is in Holland. You can send you machine back there and ask them to repair it. If the damage is perceived to be too great, they tell you and then ask...

    ALTITUDE

Yep. I have. 399’ in a faster time than it takes to ask: “What did you say the maximum altitude is?

Pro A brief visit to a cell tower in the forest. No cuts - what do you think?

With all those microwaves buzzing around, I wouldn't have dared get that close :)

3rd party app for mini 2

How I sympathise! The pandemic lockdown gave me the space and it has been hard work. Importantly, though, it has proved absolutely reliable when executing a program and I feel it was worth the effort. Anyone else?

DAT. files for Mini 1 crash

This evening I lost the signal to my Mini 1. I pressed RTH and when I got a signal back, it was into a tree I'm guessing. I will now do my homework and get the DAT files and would like to put them up here with the request for some help in interpreting the data. First question - I believe it...

3rd party app for mini 2

And not forgetting Dronelink. If they do for the Mini2 what they have done for the Mini 1, you're in for a treat! Mike

Hello from the beautiful Channel Islands

Oh yes! Great airfield which we have used on a number of occasions in our microlight. It's a good day trip over from Dorset with a walk down to the coast for lunch :) Welcome to the group. Mike

Capturing a shot at 400m directly overhead

Presumably this is in Singapore? What is the minimum altitude for Light Aircraft in Singapore? Just another little something I'm sure you'll factor into the equation :))
