iPad Air 5th gen (M1 chip), cannot connect anymore. iPhone 13 Pro connects instantly.

Did you try what I did above? (Delete the app and its data from your iPad, then reinstall the app. Worked for me!)

Interesting! Your RC has a Lightning connector, and not USB C? Mine is USB C, fortunately, it holds firmly.

Of course, once I posted, a new thought occurred: Delete the DJI Fly app and all data. So I did that, downloaded the app (again) fired everything up, and my iPad connected. Went through my settings to make sure, now I’m good to go. Again. 😉 Well, I’ll leave this thread up, might help someone.

iPad Air 5th gen (M1 chip), cannot connect anymore. iPhone 13 Pro connects instantly.

I keep my iPad OS updated, as well as the firmware on my MA2. Never had an issue. However, I guess I finally ran into a glitch… No matter how many different cables I try, or startup sequence or Bluetooth turned off (or on!), my iPad Air just won’t connect anymore. I can remove the iPad cable...

I was tempted to fly but didn't...

Only until that instantaneous moment of regret. ;)

Off-topic kinda, and maybe I'm mistaken, but: Are you traveling with a cracked windshield at 40 below?

Got a new iPad Air, M1 chip...still get screen stutter

I record only to the SD card. The good news is I don’t seem to be experiencing the stutter anymore. As always (for me) I have updated the Fly app regularly, and installed firmware updates as they become available. Maybe an update solved my issue? Don’t know, just glad it’s now a non-issue!

    The DJI Avata, a Cinewhoop!!

Self-flipping Turtle mode! That's pretty clever! (Just watched the DJI intro video on their site)

Fly no longer supported on any iPad Minis!

That's the whole list, cheddar-man? Odd, as you would expect they would support an M1 iPad Air. fyi, not as small as a Mini, but measurements are Height: 9.74 inches (247.6 mm) Width: 7.02 inches (178.5 mm) I run an M1 iPad Air, and I agree with you, those on the list are too big.

Shooting in Single mode, manual settings always results in completely black (underexposed) image. 48MP manual settings work properly. Firmware 1.6.9

Hey Shawnaroo, that's it right there. Because I like to switch between Auto and Pro on any given flight, I gave up on Single, and keep it on 48k, which works the way it should when in Pro mode. I'm not exactly holding my breath for a fix due to our "obsolete" hardware. - Jeff

Appreciate the thought, Casey. Had to chuckle about the pencil point. I may be a touch younger, but many of my conversations revolve around, "Crap. Forgot what I was going to say."

Shooting in Single mode, manual settings always results in completely black (underexposed) image. 48MP manual settings work properly. Firmware 1.6.9

Grabbed a moment to try again. However, the MA2 is not recognized, whether it is plugged directly into my laptop or to the controller (and then the controller is on and plugged in to my laptop) I downloaded the Mavic version and ran it, but still no dice. Both versions recognized my controller...

Shooting in Single mode, manual settings always results in completely black (underexposed) image. 48MP manual settings work properly. Firmware 1.6.9

I was able to successfully Refresh my controller using the Consumer Drone Series version via my Windows 11 emulator. I didn't get a chance to test yet whether this has solved my original issue. I will report back once I do. Oh, I did try to Refresh my MA2, but DJI Assistant never recognized it...

    Mavic Air 2S not connecting

You're welcome! Glad at least there's a workaround. My iPad Air (recently new, with the M1 chip) won't even connect using the workaround. It used to connect just fine. My iPhone (13 Pro, iOS 15) connects every time. Not my favorite way to fly, but I'll deal with it.

    Mavic Air 2S not connecting

Out of curiosity, are both iPads running iOS 15? Did you try plugging the controller into the charger, (controller should be off), connect your controller to your iPad, and then fire everything up? DJI has found that in some cases, not enough power is being supplied to create a connection to...
