Is the signal issue something that can be fixed with software though, or is it a physical hardware antenna issue?

Just been reading on this as its new to me - so a FCC drone has a stronger signal and can go further?? This has no impact on me as I do not fly anywhere where I cannot physically see the drone (I don't like FPV too much and seeing the drone at all times helps me keep my bearings at my age...

I understand you can record directly from the RC Pro Controller that comes with the Mini 3, onto a MicroSD card into the slot in the bottom of the unit. Is there any information on whether I can attach my DJI Mic to the USB-C port to add voiceover commentary to the captured RC video feed?

I'm waiting for the 3. I'm in no rush to buy a mini right now anyways, and with the 3 being relatively close (I think so anyways) it doesn't make sense for me to buy something now for a better model to be released for around the same price in a short while. I'd do the same with my iPhone too...
