I found the reason - it's to do with what setting you have on the object avoidance. If you set to 'fly around' it exhibits the stupid behaviour - set it to 'brake' then it performs as it should. Have no idea why the avoidance is connected with the yaw etc. Can't figure it out - but its a 'quirk'...
They don’t need to. They are being told to connect to a data service over cellular or Wi-Fi and then update the home point. The information is incorrect. The drone does not care if the maps are cached. It will return to the home point once set. You don’t need Wi-Fi or cellular connected to do this.
Heya.
Yeah it’s not my first drone at all but I was surprised by this information to connect to a data source and then update home point.
I think they’re confusing the idea with the fact they will need to download the map and if they want to see the home point on the map then I can see why a...
I keep seeing videos that say you have to connect to a phone hotspot if you need to dynamically update the home point on the DJI RC.
They say it's so it can download the map and then update the home point.
Is this correct? Why does it need cellular data to update the home point? The GPS is...
I am waiting for these Scotty Makes Stuff Cine sticks - look a bit beefy but could be a cool way to get smoother shots. They appear to 'work'...

I've been wondering why left and right is horrible in flight no matter what I try!
This would explain it.
I can't think of the reason why the settings are like this or what the idea is by DJI to have this setting.
Do you have a filter on the camera lens?
If so- fix the filter when the drone is off. Try and keep the mini level and turn it on. Let the gimbal do it’s thing.
A filter can interfere with this initial calibration thjng.
Apparently I’m wrong. You have to set the raw setting separately in the pano mode. Never realised.
Why they don’t make these settings global is beyond me. Same for hd/4K in quickshots
The images aren't RAW if you use the in built panorama settings - or are they? I am set to shoot RAW but it only shoots them as JPEGS anyway. Unless I'm wrong?
Ah.. sorry - yes makes total sense.
I was also looking at the app on my phone and some of those switches don't seem to show (even in advanced mode) unless the area you're looking at has those zones.
I live near an aerodrome so I tend to keep that switched on but when I looked back at...
Here's the area where I was staying - and would love to fly but like the other poster there's a LOT of red in Manchester- alas not connected with football!
Have to admit I don't really 'get' the zones- I see the red and go - 'nah'.
