The Mavic Mini has physically different controller and drone hardware on CE and FCC versions. Presumably DJI got a slap on the wrist about how people have been getting higher power output from CE models with firmware hacks.
The FCC one has some RF amplifiers which the CE does not have. So, it...
We have a distributor arranged in Australia but I'm not 100% sure on timeframes yet. Basically this mod is quite heavily integrated so once a drone is modified to MK.III specification it should stay that way. Switching between would be a major headache.
Do note that when in visual light mode...
Control is with a small separate radio. Range is further than that of the Occusync. We are using FCC/CE certified radio modules.
We will be offering upgrades but not DIY. The upgrades will need to be undertaken by one of our distributors.
Our project has completed development and we are pleased to announce the Revolve Drones Thermal MK.III

M2E Zoom has exactly the same camera/gimbal unit as the standard M2 Zoom. Only difference is the M2EZ has extra zoom which is all done in software.
Normal M2Z camera works on M2EZ because they are the same.
M2ED camera is totally different so the core board in the drone runs different firmware...
Speaking as a DJI dealer in Europe, DJI have finally added Mavic 2 screw packs to their spare parts ordering system (only taken a year). Maybe someone will eventually resell them.
In the meantime, any M1.6 screw of suitable length (6mm?) will be fine.
Please do note however that the small...
Here's the other option which is due to go on sale very soon. Uses DJI Go 4 app with all intelligent flight modes, uses a high resolution Boson sensor (320*240) with 5 times the detection distance of the M2ED sensor. It also has the original Mavic 2 Zoom visual light sensor, so no compromise on...
This will be available in about a week though it could be longer to arrive through our US distributor. This is fully integrated into the drone - the suas one is not and has issued with the video signal (it uses 5.8ghz FPV gear).
M2E definitely has no IP rating. They are quite well protected actually so hence why they survive the odd encounter with water, but it should still be avoided as the shell is not properly sealed.
( Mod Removed Inappropriate remark )
The original plan was to fit a Boson 640 with a 14mm lens onto the original Zoom gimbal, which is perfectly doable. I got as far as doing all the CAD files for the gimbal modifications and the circuitry for moving the IMU onto a custom board on the back of the Boson, but then I realised that it...
Cheers, it's been a lot of work so far.
The 640 boson has much the same image quality as the other cores (Vue, Tau etc...) and perhaps slightly better as the Digital Detail Enhancement on the Boson works really well. Turning it off makes it look like looking into a bowl of soup. Only issue is...
The housing on top contains our video processing gear - this is here to stay for the moment.
Flir does not make a radiometric version of the Boson sensor, and our target audience (SAR) doesn't really need radiometric capability so it's not a major worry for us just yet. Also we'd have to add a...
Good to hear. We've just started repairing the Anafi. I really like the minimalistic and lightweight design.
Our Boson solution is finished and is now undergoing final tweaking before we release if for sale.
Note however that the Boson sensor is not radiometric.
Cheers
