Maybe the OP attempted to use and older version of Assistant 2. OP use the newest version of Assistant 2. Once you update the controller and drone, you should be prompted to update the batteries if they need it. 2.1.38 is available for download.

Kind of. It has an FCC license. But DJI did not offer it here officially. I have 2 of them. I bought a backup since I FPV it some times. I plan to buy the Avata 360 from either Banggood or my favorite South Korean eBay guy.

On my Drone Zone page, I entered the 20 digits for the Flight Controller number and pressed validate. it accepted it. Make sure you are correct with 0's and O's. It should be 1581 and 16 more digits.

OP IIRC, while the drone and controller are powered on, go to the 3 dots for settings (Upper right), scroll down to About. The Flight Controller number should start with 1581 as stated above. That is the serial number you want.
