True, but doesn't hurt to check. DJI does not sell CF props, I like to switch out between the OEM and CF sometimes for a new experience. Much more responsive with CF. Its a personal choice and if you are building your own drones, the balancer is a must.

That's really something. A few mischievous jerks are giving us a bad reputation and eventually more control over our hobby. Do you have a balancer? Available online from Hobbyking, Bangood, or just found on Amazon. Search for propeller balancer

Did you check the balance? First step as it made the greatest difference. The gains are purely to stop the oscillation or over correction of the hover.

Check to see if they are balanced and adjust the gains. Once I did that, they were much better.

Checked it again today. Temperature about 7C and could barely here the whine. Not sure if simply missed it previously or if in fact the whine is a new developing issue.

Interesting comments. I just received new CF props for my Mavic Pro and tested both old originals and the new ones back and forth a few times. Test (non scientific) included hover rpm and forward speed. RPM for original props in a hover was 565(x10), whereas same hover in CF props indicated...

Likely about 50 hrs (will check). A little cool this morning near freezing so possibly that but not sure. Don't want to lose it as I fly over water a lot. I would expect the unit to last longer than that. Whats new motors worth? Do I have to purchase from DJI?

I found the gimbal very resilient to minor abuse however, after a couple gentle crashes into trees my gimbal (Mavic Pro) would not calibrate anymore. Appeared to click up or down with clicking noise. Called service centre and they knew exactly what it was, replace gimbal and back in service...

Anyone experience a whining sound from the motor(s) and what does it mean? Just noticed it today after many flights. Wondering if it is something I should be concerned about. Don't want to lose my Mavic. Comments please.

No problem with that, I just make sure the screen is facing away from the sun and haven't had a problem The Iphone X might have a brighter screen, but as phones go, I'm not falling into that trap again. Androids are a fraction of the cost and I'm quite happy with mine. Its whatever suits you...

I use my Ipad Mini wifi with my Mavic Pro. Works great and no problems at all. Ipad is wired to the controller with cable included with controller.
