Hi Dale. I have been in Israel at the beginning of August. After paying that fee, they will send you a receipt/permit to fly valid for a month. You do not need anything else to fly in Israel. Neither to bring your aircraft there (I had no issues at borders). Just, better have an insurance, and...

Yes, I have been there at the beginning of August. I registered with a local aeroclub paying a small fee. No issues at all at the borders and while flying. Flying in the desert has a bit challenging for my iPhone… but Israel is a fantastic place to fly.

Just one more question: did you register with icd.org.il or aeroclub.org.il? The second one seems cheaper…

Someone has any update about Israel? I contacted The Aero Club of Israel (fly a drone in israel - bring a drone to israel) and they replied that the only request is to enroll to the aeroclub. But I don't feel so easy about that. Any hint? Thank you folks!
