    Travelling to Thailand

Thank you for the information Colin! Yeah that makes sense, and if you've been able to go in and out of the country and been flying your drone over the past few months then it seems okay right?

    Worldwide Drone Insurance??

Thanks for that Florida Drone Supply. I will be flying recreationally which is the problem with finding insurance. It doesn't seem to be very common to pick up insurance for recreational use of drones at the moment

MaxD, do you know of any insurance companies who do this?

    Worldwide Drone Insurance??

Hi all! I wanted to know if anyone knew of a company that offered worldwide drone insurance? I want to take my Mavic to Asia next month and need to insure due to aviation laws in certain countries plus piece of mind comes from knowing the drone is insured just in case something bad happened to...

    Travelling to Thailand

MaxD sorry I see what you mean by second form now. I got a reply back from the CAAT and they told me to fill in the second form, like you mentioned, and provide proof of insurance and a copy of my passport. Hope this helps a little bit more.. Not too sure where to get insurance though!

    Travelling to Thailand

I filled in the whole form, both pages if that's what you meant by both forms. For the Juristic person I left that part blank as I felt that was asking if you was filming on behalf of a company. Government agency I left blank also! The address, I put my home address. And I didn't attach any...

But then you read the PDF titled "Announcement of the Ministry of Transport" and that document doesn't...

Travelling to Sri Lanka - Laws and Regulations??

Hi All, I am going to be travelling to Sri Lanka with my Mavic Pro in August and I wanted to see if anyone had any insight to bringing a Mavic into the country? I've been told I have to register my Mavic in order to use it in the country, so I tried registering but just ended up against a...

    Travelling to Thailand

I'm flying with British Airways and AirAsia. British Airways are okay with taking drones and batteries in their cabin bag. The only restriction is the battery 'wH' capacity in which the Mavic battery is okay. AirAsia doesn't seem to have a drone policy but only on the batteries you bring...

    Travelling to Thailand

Thank you Thunderdrones for that information! That helps a lot! Also, when you flew into Thailand (I'm flying from London) was there any problem through airport security/customs? Did you have to declare your drone? This is my first time travelling with a drone so I'm just new to all of this!

I've been told I have to register my Mavic in order to use it in the country but the Thailand civil aviation authority...
