Yes it’s the feeling I have : just being able to do video with fewer blown highlight and more dynamic range. But you can easily see highlights with zebra display on the DJI app, and just lowering the exposure in normal mode, then grading by correcting the exposure back in post process seems...
I'm the OP actually ;) Your video is exactly what I was looking for, thanks for that.
I might not use the best color grading tool actually. Using Colorfinale Pro in FCPX so far but I'll definitely try DaVinci Resolve.
Thanks a lot for this video :) I would say DLOG , HLG and Normal.
It's true that Normal mode seem to add too much sharpening, and the exposition is a little bit darker
I tried both HQ & FOV, but I prefer the wide angle of the FOV mode, despite the softer details.
I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking the result of the DLog-M with the DJI LUT is not convincing.
A lot of people seem to recommend shooting in DLog-M because of the 10 bit output, but I'm curious...
Can some of you please post screenshot of "better" graded videos in DLog-M compared to Normal mode ?
I've been grading all my videos for some time now, but somehow I 'm getting better result starting from Normal mode rather than using DLog-M with the LUT to rec709 provided by DJI.
OK I can get...
It’s actually exactly the definition of a longer focal length in equivalent 35mm on a cropped sensor. The same way you calculate 35mm eq on an apsc sensor or micro 43.
Everybody seems to speak just about the resolution loss in FOV mode, and in this case "just use the HQ mode as DJI recommends" . I'm sorry to reiterate, but very few people seem to care about the truly horrendous focal of the HQ mode. This is an equivalent of 45mm, and really not a great focal...
I understand this is just related to resolution, but it's actually what matters when you're shooting 4k. Actually I was unimpressed by the FOV mode. It's not bad at all, it's just very similar to my old Mavic 1 and GoPro Hero 6.
What I don't like is the concept of having 2 different modes for...
I've just read the whole thread which is quite interesting, and unfortunately I have to agree with what the majority of you. I was quite surprised to see a "FOV" mode and "HD" mode, first time I saw that in all the camera I used.
I bought the Mavic 2 pro with a 28mm focal in mind. I usually...
I really liked to use a GoPro Casey to pack my Mavic pro w controller and put it inside a backpack or a case as a secondary protection.
Any recommendations for something similar but slightly larger for the Mavic 2 pro ?
