NYC is always going to be a hard city to get permission to fly in. You have all of the helicopter traffic, plus a residence of the President. -

Update on NYC, just as predicated, there's a surge in drone use to more than 6000 per year. Perhaps the new administration may take on a different view but I doubt it. NYC is likely to become the first US police drone city where no one else can...

Yeah just checked out dronescene and there's a few vast NOTAMs around the place at the moment - I am lucky to be just outside one, but you have to wonder how safe I am - it's not like the jamming completely stops at the border is it ?! Surprised...
