Lol. Luckily i have few pelicases witch I'm not using. They are best because of foam possibilities..... but they are rather expensive. Nice solution ☝?. I think best way to go will be foam from pelicase inserted into your case. They foam isn't costly and it's made for this sort of things

This can be checked when you trying to land close to something. Forward or back sensors don't give you enough room if you try to land close to something. Then just turn drone to side and you're land

Side motions are risky. Forward and back sensors are safes and I'm not sure but up and down as well. Side sensors works only in tripod mode or when drone fallow you.

I agree with VLOS idea in general. Rarely i fly without that. But in this situation that's not issue IMO. Police didn't know he was inside the house. It was only because of big public event...

VLOS reference is important but tough to apply in every day use IMO. Tough to compare but it's like having the sports car and never drive over speed limits. Nobody will ever buy sport car or drone if you can only play by the rules 100%.

Remote ID is why so fast they find you. You saying 15 min into the flight and police was at your house so they picked your signal much earlier... probably as soon as you took off. It's way of the future and we all need to be careful and flie responsible and respectful.

Yep. I know but if your RC is connected directly to some high position antennas you're safe. Only amplification is needed for not losing strength inside that cable. From that kinda antennas you have clear line of sight to your drone. Tough to visualize exact operational situations....

Anyone tried to find solution for tough operational situations like under tree line going down the canyons? I'm gona try with Viking RC RC sistem but maybe someone have solution for this all ready... maybe some analog connectivity is possible?
