What he meant was that anyone who has ever used previous DJI flight controllers such as the NAZA or Wookong, know there is GPS data in the data stream used for the OSD on whatever screen you were viewing...they just chose not to include it for some stupid reason...and for the prices we pay for...

Oddly, the web specs on dji say a mini three pro battery is 7.38 V. Wouldn’t that make it a 2S and not a 3S?

I need to somewhat correct my post because I see that people are able to buy the air 2S combo with the smart controller in the package. I wonder what drove DJI to cancel that program. Maybe it was the RC pro coming along?

That’s awesome! I will try it tomorrow. I searched the Webberz for help videos including one specifically targeted at interpreting the OSD. Only found one that seemed comprehensive but I must have missed that. That YT site had lots of good info though, so I’m sure it was my error as he spoke...

Yes I feel your pain. I have probably 5 figures worth of kit/scratchbuilt multirotors, all from a time when responsible pilots knew how to operate. When I say 5 figures, the first digit is much closer to the second whole number by the way we count. 😳
