With Dji waypoints 2 if the option "continue if signal lost" is selected then this is what it does BUT if you regain signal the drone enters a hover and RTH needs to be pressed . If the the signal is not regained the drone will return to home automatically - at least thats what worked for me!!!

The bottom sensors on the mavic 2 zoom certainly work well I miscalculated the heights on a waypoint mission lost- signal the drone returned but watch the link below

This is one advantage of the smart controller it has a HDMI and USB port so you can attach any size screen and mouse which makes plotting waypoints much clearer and easier.

Is there a commercial external battery supply for the Mavic 2 I would find this extremely useful for especially for setting up Waypoints instead of flattening the batteries My searches have not found any and I am no electronics DIY'er

I got round this by increasing the maximum height thats allowed by the drone. This makes you responsible to make sure you dont go above 400ft agl. I use a smart controller and Go app. Although I am thinking of trying out litchi now it can work with the smart controller.

It appears that since the last firmware upgrade When I load a waypoints mission I get unsuccessful - too High. No way points are above 400ft agl infact they are all at 200 ft agl . What appears to have happened is the system wont accept anything more than 400ft above start point. Can anyone...

I have since repeated the exact waypoints route only with correct altitudes!! The result was excellent and no loss of connection.

It was in p Mode and was still executing turn points in fact you can see it change direction at one of the turn points whilst I had no connection!
