For Best Definition at Very Low Altitude : Mavic 2 Pro OR Mavic Zoom ?

Mavic 2 Zoom is better for your use case, given the constraints. The reasons are perfectly explained here: Why the Mavic 2 Zoom is better for you - DroneDJ “The Mavic 2 Zoom can resolve finer features at 2X zoom than the 20 MP sensor on the Mavic 2 Pro.” The downside is that you will need to...

    Drone flying in Spain

Hi there. Watch out! there is currently a NOTAM from June 1st until July 31st in all the region (except in Yecla). Si if I were you I would not fly!

    Flying wisely in Spain

Actually, you CAN fly recreationally during the night as well in Spain, as long as you fly an UAV below 2kg (4.41lb) a maximum of 50 meters above ground level. Extracted from our soon-to-be-obsolete-but-still current law:

This forum made me not buy the Mavic Mini today. Why?

Even if you were to fly in the CTR, which is already a very concerning violation of local laws and very dangerous (so DON'T FLY)... ...that area is also covered with a prohibition of photographic flight. So totally forget about taking pictures or videos with your UAV. TLDR No flying+No photos.

This forum made me not buy the Mavic Mini today. Why?

Certainly that guy was right ;) There is actually an overlapping number of reasons why you can't fly. The most important reason is that those places are part of a CTR, therefore controlled airspace, therefore you can't fly recreatonally. If you were a professional pilot, holding a valid license...

This forum made me not buy the Mavic Mini today. Why?

The only thing that is not true is your statement "he is posting the same pattern on all posts that are involving drones videos from Spain". That's a fallacy, don't FUD just to give yourself some credibility and cover your up your third-hand knowledge of local regulations. Worst case scenario...

This forum made me not buy the Mavic Mini today. Why?

Regarding any country: Use Google, check applicable laws, get in contact with fellow local pilots. Regarding Spain: Totally forget about flying a drone recreationally in Madrid, San Sebastian or Malaga. They are all part of their respective CTR, have numerous heliports nearby, etc. (see link...

    Mavic Mini Flyaway in Adelaide

The part were you say "Forecast winds are for wind at ground level" is also not always accurate. The are very good free apps that will inform you in advance of wind between 0-150 meters AGL (0-400) which is the altitude at which you should be flying in most countries. Also at higher altitude...

Pont de Llierca (La Garrotxa, Pyrenees, Spain).

Hi @londondronepilot Did you have permission to fly? You can get fined by AESA by publicly posting the evidence online.

Hi Invisible. My reaction to someone breaking local laws is anger! I happen to be in awe of 80% of the videos and photos taken in Spain and posted here being illegal. It makes me angry that what a few (well, most) pilots are ruining this sport and business for the rest of us.

This is Asturias (Spain) in summer

That is exactly what I meant "think twice about publicly posting a video invading a CTR". Fines in Spain can be as high as 225000€ for cases like this where the traffic of the nearby airport was put at risk if AESA (the Spanish Air Security Agency) finds out.

This is Asturias (Spain) in summer

Amazing videos. Picture quality is superb. Unfortunately, I see in your video that you flew north of Vivigo which happens to be CTR Asturias. It is in fact the approximation to the runway of OVD airport, you might have caused severe disruptions to the air traffic had you been noticed. Use...

Our Costa Brava 2019 collection (Spain) on the OsmoPilots (Osmo Mobile 2) Forum.

Nice! How did you manage to get authorization to fly in Pals and Torrent?

My first few Shots with my Mavic 2 Pro

Yes, at least you did check something. FAA's B4UFLY app is only useful on US territory "B4UFLY is the simple, easy-to-understand way for drone operators to check U.S. airspace before taking flight". As a sidenote the DJI app cannot be trusted in Spain; there are many other restrictions than the...

My first few Shots with my Mavic 2 Pro

Hi Michael. I hope that you enjoyed your trip in Spain. Most if not all of your pictures are taken from locations where flying drones is absolutely prohibited, as a matter of fact you flew next to the Rota Military base and invaded several CTRs. You are lucky to not have been detected, fines...
