Hi just wondering if anyone has had any issue with starting to fly their drone in Spain (Murcia) now that the lockdown is progressively being relaxed - just want to get back to flying but don't want to have any policing regulatory authorities issues here . Many thanks

Hi there.
Watch out! there is currently a NOTAM from June 1st until July 31st in all the region (except in Yecla).
Si if I were you I would not fly!

I have a question, I am not from Spain:

I checked Flight Planning Map - Spain and Portugal | NOTAM Info

and it says lower vertical limit of this D area is 2000 feet (about 609meters) above ground. In other words, it is not in force below 2000 ft AGL.

D1912/20: Restricted area activated
Q) LEXX/QRRCA/IV/BO/W/020/080/3746N00152W073LER63 ACTIVATED FOR AIR OPERATIONS EXC LEAM TMA
UPPER VERTICAL LIMIT MODIFIED
LOWER: 02000FT AGL, UPPER: FL080
FROM: 01 Jun 2020 15:30 GMT (17:30 CEST) TO: 31 Jul 2020 19:00 GMT (21:00 CEST)
SCHEDULE: MON-FRI 1530-1900, SAT 0700-1200

As said, I am not from Spain. In country where I live drones can be operated BELOW D area lower limit. Of course following drone upper limit 120 m (we have still 150 m for some weeks) AGL.

In spain, is it a no no?

Hi thanks all. Basically I use the NOTAM SPAIN website and find the areas I can fly it. Must be used including days, time etc exclusions or there are big fines and loss of your prized drone.

Good interactive map: drones.enaire.es

Living in Orihuela Costa, south of Alicante, there is a bloody big slab of yellow that covers most of the southern region. Can anyone tell me what it is and why it's there? Safe to fly a Mavic Mini?

Thanks!

Hi, I live in Los Alcazares and the whole area is covered, all the way past Cartagena :mad:. I contacted San Javia (old commercial now only military) airport and they said "not allowed " until the end of July. I know they may be just being difficult BUT I personally don't want to take the chance. I am flying a drone 0 - 5kg and don't want to taken off me by the Guadia and the possibility of a large fine and then fighting it out in the courts. I am also taking my professional pilots exams next month in Malaga so could put that in jeopardy with my certification - not worth it. Have found on the Spanish NOTAM site that I can fly near Mazarron (at the old mines) so will be going there over the next few days.???
