I was under the impression that a DJI product such as the phantom could be used in CAP as long as it ran the kittyhawk software instead of Chinese software.

Extra weight and decreased flight time are the big ones. I’ve never used mine, I think they are only needed when flying inside. Edit: I just reread your post and you said prop covers. Do you mean like prop guards or something else?

There is an app called sync for DJI that I’ve never used because it is for go 4. (I fly a mini) You could give it a look, it’s supposed to work pretty well. Good luck.

Or you can call your local AWOS. Gives you accurate and current information. All you have to do is look it up online.
