I don't think a top sensor would have prevented that. Looks like it was tried to catch up real fast and the system wasn't able to react fast enough because of the light conditions? I would think going from bright light to shade so fast might throw off the system.

I'm looking at my old Mavic Air guards and they cant be worth more then a few dollars of plastic but I guess a few dollars x 100,000 or more units, the savings look good for DJI.

I would contact DJI. The fan should turn on way before the chip gets anywhere close to overheating temps.

I did over 19,000 feet yesterday and still had acceptable signal. Line of sight, a rural area, and pointing your antenna/controller properly helps a lot.

All my past DJI drones had also been a pain to remove but as people have already said, it will loosen up after a few off/on cycles.

Tried ordering from Apple but the delay in shipping was too much to take so switched to Drone Nerds and it shipped same day!

I was able to do over 19000 feet and could have done more but for battery warnings. This was in a very rural area with direct line of sight. If I fly from home (more densely populated area), with trees in the way and most likely other radio interference , my range also drops drastically.

Talk about being very lucky!

The video feed did freeze on me once or twice on the way out but only for a second or two. On the way back I had to drop altitude because of strong winds and the video cut out a few times but only for a few seconds again. It could have just been me tilting the controller from the optimal antenna...

Was able to do 19019 feet today with a good line of sight @ 325 feet high. Still had good signal quality, but received the return trip estimate battery warning so wasn't going to push it further. Got back with 13% battery so it was the right choice.
