Interesting. I’ve used an iPad Air 1 with my P3A and my M2P. This runs the same A7 processor and M7 Motion co-processor as the iPad Mini 2, and I’ve had no delay or overheating issues at all.

Good heavens. Big? I have a M2P and and a Phantom Advanced - now that’s a big drone; the Mavic is tiny compared to it.

I use an iPad Air 1 Cellular fo both Go and Go 4; it works perfectly. I also have an iPhone XS and there is no difference in performance.

When I first fired-up my M2P a few weeks ago, I too got inconsistent firmware warnings with two of the three batteries; the one which came with the AC was fine, but the two which came with the fly more kit were older. I just let it do it’s thing and it updated the FW via the iPhone. I remember...

What’s the fuss all about? Personally I think the OE unit is great and dead easy to install once you’ve done it a few times. I go through the same preflight as I did with my P3A (and the gimbal support on that is an utter PITA to mount!) and that’s the last thing to be removed.

There is a small circular protective sticky tab on the back of the camera body. This was rubbing against the back of the gimbal on mine giving similar results; did you remove this? Have no problem viewing the videos either...
