    No you don't need sim card or internet. I used to fly the Mini with Samsung Galaxy S6 that I bought from Ebay for $60.00 just to fly the Mini.

    Thanks Skywatcher, my first drone was Hubsan H107c mini drone and all manual, no GPS. It was a fun little drone to learn how to fly, learn what the wind can do and stabilized the drone in the back yard.
