No, that's not correct for Canada. If your drone is more than 250g, you cannot fly it legally for recreation in Canada. Just because you haven't been ask to provide permits or registration for 12 months does not make it legal.
Drones less than 250g do not have to be registered in Canada and therefore do not come under this regulation.

I'd agree that like most things, there are laws out there and the majority of people do break them to some extent, some of the time. I don't think that's the issue. If you do get caught doing something illegal, ignorance rarely gets you let off. Knowing and taking the risk of being caught is one...
Surely it would be no different with regard to National Parks? You wouldn't be allowed to take off from outside the park, fly your drone into the park area, and then physically go into the park and continue to control your drone from there.
I love their, We apologize for any inconvenience, comment. Considering Transport Canada charge you to take a recreational exam and charge you to register each drone, I'm surprised they don't just make people outside of Canada pay a $10 fee to fly here.
Canada no longer will allow recreational drone operation if you're not a Canadian Citizen or permanent Resident.

Since you cannot fly closer than 50m to any building/car in the UK, you are therefore not allowed to take off/land in your own garden, down your street, in a car park (with parked cars there). I'm sure people will quote caveats, but that's how the guide is written.
I’ve been impressed with all email comms I’ve had with DJI regarding the refresh scheme. I’d email over calling, so you at least have a record of what’s been agreed.
That's what I'm still hoping. I've also started seeing that the registration markings on your drone need to be fireproof.
I guess we'll know more over the coming months.
