Did you "Double tap" or did you tap once, then hold down the button for 3 seconds so the battery starts. Sounds to me like everything was normal if you had the lights. Just holding down the button again for 3 seconds again probably would have started your drone. See video at 5:14 mark...

I was having this issue with my Samsung S7. When I had those issues, I had to change the Transmission Frequency. I couldn't use DUAL Band for some reason. It would lock up my screen or be very jerky. Once I changed it 2.4 or 5.8 It worked perfectly. That's my experience. Hope it helps.

Over the years, I've learned to tape a "hand warmer" to the back of my phone/tablet so that the battery stays warm. It's helped me out. (I bring my drones on my back packing hikes. Works great.)
