Just do a search for his posts, you will see his MO, then learn to ignore him. Sad, other pilots of manned aircraft here often post some of the most informative posts IMO.

Registering has nothing to do with that. For hobbyists, FAA can't regulate model aircraft, therefore they can't dictate a 400ft limit. They do recommend it as a guideline. Of course, there are rules to follow to even be considered a model aircraft, mainly LOS.

Well, at least you were responsible. Could have gotten that pot of gold, but would have had to fly BLOS. Nice capture, but sorry, no advice, I can fly but am terrible stills and video, and getting worse, I think my best video was my first. Oh well I can fly ok at least.
