How many 107 Licensed Users are prevented from taking off

Also, while flying an alternate bird may be an option is some circumstances, the mapping package I use only works with DJI birds. This makes life difficult. Then there is the aircraft insurance we have to carry. (Insurance is way more expensive than the bird.)

How many 107 Licensed Users are prevented from taking off

I appreciate the response, and certainly agree about the learning experience. The Custom Unlock would probably be a good way of doing the indoor flights, but for the outdoor flights, I am usually doing waypoint flights which DJI says are incompatible with Custom Unlock. Also, in the case of the...

How many 107 Licensed Users are prevented from taking off

I have not run into the "Cannot Take Off" scenario, however, I have run into the altitude restriction. I was recentlly flying my Mavic Pro inside a Blimp Hangar near Irvine (It is in an Enhanced Warning Zone, but it is also covered by LAANC.) Being Inside, I am not subject to any of the FAA...

    Lost connection and crashed

What happened to me (not previously reported here) did not follow your scenario. I was flying in San Francisco, took off and hovered at about 30 feet. Started forward (filming in an alley) and the controls suddenly became unresponsive. Shortly after that, I got a lost connection error on the...

However, there is a lot of people flying around the wharf, and including some of the park areas. So, I did my research...

    Flying legally over crowds

If you are interested in getting a waiver, look at the webinars found at: Webinars The last one describes the waiver process for flying over people. Slim.slamma got one part right. I believe the FAA was saying 80 to 90 percent of waiver applications are rejected because they are not properly...

Blade Test Results- DJI vs CARBON FIBER

Actually, if you want to talk efficiency, look at hover time on a battery (ore measure battery voltage before and after a fixed time flight). Efficiency for an airfoil is mostly about lift vs drag.

    Hi from Berkeley!

I have been flying (with 107 license) since December 2017. Still not a lot of hours. most of my work is aerial survey of buildings for documentation prior to modification (of the buildings!) I am flying one of two Mavic Pros (1 belongs to company, one to me.) By background includes private...

    In Door Flying ??'s

I know we are all drone pilots, and prefer to work with our drones, but consider a Matterport scan. UNless you do a lot of these, you will probably want to contract this out, but I think it might meet your needs better. Wiht that said, I would assume that you has scaffolding setup when you did...

    In Door Flying ??'s

Actually, you only need your 107 License to fly in the National Airspace System. This does not include indoors.
