    Landing pad for MavikAir

Whatever works for your situation. I already had this "landing pad" so I didn't have to make or buy anything. I like its large size and I carry it in a UTV so it's no problem to take it where it's needed. I like your H-pad. A fold-up?

    Newest homemade landing pad.

Good idea. I like its portability.

    Landing pad for MavikAir

I live on a ranch and there are NO clear, level spaces except those that send up clouds of dust. So I’ve had to improvise a take-off/landing pad that is portable enough to be useful. I’ve drafted a 26x30” drawing board for the job. This allows me to avoid the many dangers that landings...

Six Year Old Boy Found By A Drone In My Area!

What a great story. Heart-warming! Note that the dog, Remington, stayed with him. Probably helped to keep him warm. Thanks for posting this.

    Birds of Prey

The lighting and focus would certainly make one wonder. But if it Is PS it is very well done indeed. Redtails are the most numerous large aerial predators out here on the High Plains. They grow quite large, and some folks mistake them for eagles. For aggression and success they give nothing up...

    Birds of Prey

Amazing photograph. Cool nerves to take it and not to immediately go to evasive action. I don't underestimate these awesome predators.

    Big birds!

Just curious, has anyone had their drone attacked by a large hawk or eagle? We have really big Redtails here. Also Goldens and Balds. Goldens will take lambs and small antelope so why not a Mavic? Don't reckon they taste very good though.

Trouble with transferred video (and stills)

Thanks, Harro. I was using an older iMac. Tried it in my MacBook Pro laptop and it ran OK. Guess I'll have to do some updating, or just use the Mavic footage in the laptop. Appreciate the help.

Trouble with transferred video (and stills)

Thanks again for the response, DanMan. Maybe I wasn't clear earlier. (1) When l landed after the flight in question I hit the REPLAY button on the iPhone and got a perfect replay video of the flight. (2) I removed the card from the Mavic Air and put it into my desktop. Tried to play from the...

Trouble with transferred video (and stills)

Thanks, DanMan. The card is a SanDisk 64Gb UHS-1 (90MB/s write) so should be fine. I did transfer the footage to my desktop's HD and played it from there. Still no joy. But when I play it back on the connected iPhone, with the RC on, and the Mavic on, it's perfect. I used the standard QuickTime...

Trouble with transferred video (and stills)

First flights y'day and today, as the weather turned really nice. Problem: When I play back captured video when connected to controller I get perfect video on the iPhone. When I transfer the file to my desktop and play either with or without QuickTime I get jumpy, start-stop footage. Almost like...
