    Darn Seagulls!

I often visit the UK coast and always take the Mavic with me to try and get some great landscape footage etc. The one thing which happens time and time again is the within moments seagulls congregate and start dive-bombing the drone and I have to bring it in and land it before a collision...

Personal liability insurance etc for paid drone photography work

Hi, I've recently set up a page offering drone photography services and have already received a number of inquiries. Before taking on any "paid" work I would want to make sure i am covered for any accidents/mishaps to persons, possessions or surrounding (heaven forbid) Does anyone else do this...

Had the dreaded gimbal overload message yesterday!

Thanks man, at least it rules that out. It may have just been a temporary glitch. I’ve read it’s a common issue. I’ve only flown about 12/12 times and without collisions so not down to damage.

Had the dreaded gimbal overload message yesterday!

Hi guys, As per the above, booted the Mavic up yesterday wanting to get some footage. Gimbal was doing some funny things and was kinda in a fixed position but pointing up and could not be adjusted on the controller. Did a couple of reboots and still no good. I ended up giving the gimbal a gently...

I guess that the undercarriage avoidance sensors also detect water the same as the do land or are they not that advanced?

Probably a stupid question about height but here goes.....

Great, I keep having the reoccurring dream where I fly navigate off a cliff with over a 400ft instant drop and I can't get my drone back lol :-D

So, I tried sport mode today, which was fun!

It all ended well and I was very cautious but don't they fly! (no pun intended) Have to say, I WILL not be making a habit of it but to get from point A-B in an open and clear area its pretty cool. Initially when engaging the SPORT switch on the side of the controller I couldn't work out why the...

Probably a stupid question about height but here goes.....

Our Mavic's are limited to 400ft/121mtrs... I guess this is always gauged as the vertical distance away from the the controller/transmitter at the point of take off? Cheers

A big hello from a new Mavic Pro owner in Oxfordshire, UK

Many thanks! Had my maiden flight yesterday in basic mode (to be on the safe side) and packed it away unscathed at the end of the session :) Raining today so no flying. Off to China on business at the weekend and visiting a DJI store (possibly Hong Kong) for some spares, a case and another...
