I just picked up a Lowepro Droneguard BP250. Holds both by MP and MA, still have hard cases for both but this one just makes it easier for hiking.

Lol yeah that was a crappy picture but of my boss :p Also I know the controls are slow in Tripod mode, I use it a fair bit. But the controls usually still respond not just drift in the opposite direction.

No update as yet. My case is at the "Quotation Sent" stage but I have not received the quotation yet. I got onto their Online Support and asked what the outcome of the investigation was and was told that they didn't investigate just sent me a quotation to pay for repair. I re-iterated to them...

This is flying under the 132kV lines in the paddock next to my work, no ill effects.

Might just be an issue with mine or even a one of interference thing, who knows. Hopefully DJI can troubleshoot it.

Just be careful with your first flight and keep it within reach. I will update when I hear back from DJI.

Not here to bash the Mavic Pro as I love the thing but I had my first "crash" yesterday :( I had just updated to latest firmware and was taking it for its first flight. Flew it around close and low to the ground to make sure all was ok, all seemed fine so I took it out for a good fly. Tried...

Wow thats some serious equipment and power. Awesome setup though. I also used a pluck foam type case for my Mavic (much smaller version) and I found that if after you have finished plucking everything out, hit it with a couple of coats of Plasti-Dip spray and it keeps all the foam together nicely.

I would suggest and ipad Mini 4, I just bought one to use for my Mavic and Spark. I am not an apple fan but I must say the IOS version of the GO4 App is brilliant and the ipad Mini is the perfect size.

I just hotspot to by Galaxy S8 and get the maps or if I know where I am going to fly I pre-cache them on the ipad at home.

God I wish we didn't get screwed with the technology tax in Australia, I paid $580 AUD ($460 USD) for the same thing last week and that was the cheapest I could find! I really need another holiday to the states! :P

Greetings also from Sydney. I have only had one issue on my last flight with the DJI GO4 app disconnection from the Mavic. Luckily I was able to fly the drone home blind.

Shouldn't be too hard to pluck out the extra spaces, will just need a knife to cut the top and the rest should pick out as normal. You can still see where the foam is pre-cut if you look hard enough, the plasti-dip just stops it tearing more when you put items in and take them out.
