I got 28,870 ft. out on my MA2 from my 8-story bldg over sparsely populated Terrain before losing power only 2,000 short of my RTH w/a wind change. The trees won, and I lost.
What would be the pros/cons of using a 1-sec or less continuous photo mode in shooting in RAW rather than using any of the video modes on the MA2 when trying to make the best, easiest to edit, video?
Just ordered the Freewell variable VND 2->9 stop dual filter set for ma MA2. Question is what are the appropriate settings for these typical flying daily conditions...
Sunny, Variably cloudy, Overcast, hazy, and cloudy?
I did a quick Calc for this subject. Using some basic trig I, determined that the horizon generally “falls” at an average rate ~of 6.3” per mile of distance. Make the assumptions (1) a substantially longer battery life (maybe by adding solar cells to the MA2), (2) flying one way from a home...
My latest range attempt completed over 30k feet on a 94% battery. Good, clear run w/Yagi antenna. No obstacles. Had to abort on RTH when gimbal and compass froze and locked.
Yes, I too lost compass control along w/a gimball lock leading to a lost MA2. I’m now fighting for a replacement under my 3-yr. Fresh Care contract. See my post here.
I largely agree with your conclusions and assumptions. This was essentially pilot error on the part of a newbie. When I turned back after the first RTH warning I seemed to be getting confusing compass readings and started struggling (panicking) a bit trying to get my bearings back. That was...
I located the log on my iPhone:
DJIFlightRecord_2020-10-09_[16-07-48].txt
...downloaded AirData and copied the log file there. However all I see is a very short summary of the flight. How do I see the entire log so I can determine my landing site location, etc.?
