Sometimes we get overconfident in our capabilities. This is exactly what happened in this case. You were not visually looking at your drone. Flying below the treetops at distance was a major mistake. You are very lucky to find your drone.

People don’t seem to get it. The drone is way over priced. At best $1500 would be a stretch lol

The only thing I have to say is this is a consumer drone. It’s about $500 overpriced if it worked well.

Without a doubt it was a bird. There’s a brief section and you’ll see a dark flash. I don’t know where you live but possibly a Bald Eagle or Osprey. Just thinking that because they liked to eat fish.
