I always start with Go4 first to see if all is ok - then switch to Litchi (if I'm using it). I never check the interference!

To me this is a relatively cheap hobby and a lot of bang for your buck. Try flying RC jets - the turbines alone cost more than a whole drone. My last jet (Eurofighter with 35lb thrust turbine) which I built in 2008 cost over US$ 10k.

The 18-21 quoted is flying (not hovering) time. Hovering an inefficient phase of flight - forward flight is more efficient.

Updates might cancel the hack and then you will just have to run the hack again. Basically if DJI or Litchi (latest version) asks if you want to reset your region you must say NO (cancel). If the app it does not ask, then the hack is not working and you need to do it again. I've done it a few...
