Hi guys
For the past few years I've used my Mavic mini with a Nokia 4.2 phone running Android 11 without issue.
Now however it won't connect with the aircraft.
I tried a different android phone and it works. So I factory reset the Nokia. Tried some old DJI fly versions. Then the latest. And...
It's really strange. It just did it again with hardly anything on it. I deleted a couple of small vids and it was fine again. Maybe it's a cache issue or dodgy card
Hey guys.
My video feed suddenly became unusable. I initially thought my phone must have been the culprit because the memory card- Samsung Evo plus 128 GB class 3- only had 25gb of files on it.
However after ruling the phone out I decided to take everything off the SD card and Wella, it's...
Hey guys,
Whenever I want to connect the fly app with my Mavic mini it generally takes multiple times at turning the controller and drone on and off before I will get the blue go fly button appear on the app.
Initially turning flight mode on the phone off helped but it's since reared its...
Do you think you'd have to get permission everytime you fly or would one permit make you good? (I'm an amateur photog but could probably register it as a business etc. Just thought written permission everytime would be too much
Thanks but it's ok, I'll contact casa as I need to ask them if I'm allowed to fly here if I get a licence. (I've heard even with a licence some rescue helicopter areas require you to get their permission everytime you fly within 5.5km, which would probably see me find a new hobby lol
I was using opensky. There is a rescue chopper there though, so I think that's why the area is a sacred cow lol. And I thought they'd probably have sophisticated detection gear too given the size of their budgets.
Hey mate,
Yeah I think the issue with this one is it's uncontrolled but has helicopters landing on instruments so it's still 5.5km.
Just the area I was at was very large so yeah, their precision got me thinking they either saw it from an aircraft or they pinpointed it electronically :)
Hey all,
I was messing around very low level with my mini in my suburb: which is off limits due to a small airport a few kilometres away.
So yes, I was breaking the rules.
I was flying about 15 minutes in an open area and left without issue.
Later on though I was informed the police showed...
Yeah I'm tending to think that was the problem too. Was watching a guy on YouTube who had the same problem and it was the guards. He redid the experiment without them and had no problem.
Thanks for the detailed reply meta4. So I'm thinking next time instead of standing on the shore I should make sure I'm over 20 meters away up the beach in case I require the rth button again.
p.s it's a mini 1.
I just read also that you're supposed to have a payload button enabled when using...
How about calibration and stuff like that?
I'm sure I tried going up. It was just very unresponsive. I was flying on land yesterday in stronger wind to test it and it still always laboured back to me.
Hey guys.
I'm a new pilot. This morning I had my mini on the sea shore over the water: about 10 meters away from me and about 2 storeys high. Wind was a very light westerly- coming from behind me. I had the prop guards on too.
Anyway when I tried to return it back it wouldn't come. I...
