Still no RID-compliant serial numbers for DJI Mavic Air 2 drones

dumb question time. Recreational flyer. I'm trying to add RID serial for Air 2, but FAA dronezone doesn't give me the option to edit my drone. Do I need to cancel out my drone and add it as a new drone?

    "UNABLE TO TAKE OFF" MESSAGE

Late to the party, I just did the update and got the unable to fly error. I uninstalled DJI Fly, and then searched on the Google Play store to reinstall it. The app isn't on the store. So I reinstalled it from my uninstalled library, however, version 1.2 was re-installed and unable to update...

"According to the latest timeline shared by the tech giant, a Remote ID firmware upgrade for the Mavic Air 2 might not drop until September 30, 2023" Remote ID firmware delayed for DJI Air 2, Mavic 2 drones

The FAA trust recreational test is finally here.

Huh. Mine was EASY#########. And the test was EASY. Coincidence? I swear one of the questions was: If you're flying recreationally, you are A. not flying for work, pay or a business B. The Three Stooges C. a Christmas tree I didn't try to answer wrong, but I think if you answer wrong, it...

    INGENUITY Rotor Copter on Mars

Did they have RID active? Or that was the delay - to download software to activate RID??? Gotta follow the rules. Seriously though, this is amazing stuff. Can't wait to see what they do with it. I wonder if they can use it to blow the dust off the crawler's solar panels if they get covered...

FAA Release NEW rules for UAS Operations

I apologize as I do not have time to read through the rules right now, but how does this affect a hobbyist flying only over his own property? Is remote ID going to be required for that?

Drone over Wrigley Field last night!

If I was on the field, I'd just grab it with my fielder's glove. Or at least drop the glove on it to jam up the propellers. Simple, effective. The criminal could have been caught.

    Dash Cam F-18

Try driving down a country road through a canyon of corn. When all of a sudden crop duster jumps up from the field directly over your car and maybe 50 feet up. Scared the bejeezus out of us.

    Wasted Day

Hey now, a bad day droning is better than a good day at work... That picture looks like a good day to me!

    Obstacle Avoidance Testing...

I tried it with my mailbox. I lined up the hovering MA2 so it was directly in line about 10 feet away from the mailbox and I was about 5 feet behind MA2. Slowly flew it forward, as it approached it slid left all by itself. I tried it again, this time lining it up pointing slighty to the right...

How do you track your batteries? Do you have a spreadsheet or do you use something like AirData?

So tidy in a Nanuk 915

Now why didn't I think of that??? Probably because it makes sense...

So tidy in a Nanuk 915

Just got mine - took a week order to delivery. I like it. Much easier to pack than the bag. Fly more combo - Everything fits even the ipod cable I will never ever use. Room for a 4th battery if leaving one in the MA2. I stashed the manuals behind the foam in the top of the case and punched two...
