At random my maps started working as well. However, if you want to use Google maps instead you can do it by using task killer and going back to DJI go app. It goes blank for a few seconds then Google maps shows up. I still can't download non Chinese cities which is stupid. But at least I can...

Yeah, the camera image is great. Funny thing is my old dump phone from years ago runs maps fine, but doesn't have enough juice to keep the video from locking up. Gah. I'm still trying to figure out the magic posted above...

Also just FYI, it makes no difference if GPS is locked, or compass is calibrated. WiFi mode and rc makes no difference either.
