Good question, you might want to take look at this thread: Tilted horizon at high speed?
I fly extensively in sport mode in high wind and I will upgrade from Mavic Air to the Mavic 2 since it appears to be a lot less prone to dip/tilt when going fast through the air.
Agree, it is just plain fun. I too have a number of RC gadgets from dirt cars to helicopters and photography has been a passion for all of my life. Modern drones combines the best of both worlds. Now I am considering goggles to get fully immersed into it. Next stop The Matrix :)
Hi Mavic 2 owners. I was hoping some of you could tell me if you experience that the gimbal tilts at high speed flying or strong winds? I really love my Mavic Air, but it keeps tilting the horizon on my video footage when in sports mode and I was hoping the Mavic 2 does not exibit this...
I am continously impressed with the quality of DJI drones. I have taken my Mavic Air through some pretty knarly weather filming windsurfing in the North See with saltwater spray and sand dust and it keeps performing like when it was new.
Then New Years eve
I took a calculated risk to film the...
I brought my Mavic Air to Svalbard (78 degrees north) last February and it performed like a champ. I was the only one whining, I made the mistake of conteolling it one day with my mittens off! Ouch! Wool liners proved ideal for me, kept enough cold away yet I maintained the tactile feel of the...
Agree, I also always use sports mode for the transport section and switch to regular flying when it is filming time (unless there's too much headwind). It's a comfort knowing that I can get the drone over dry land within minutes when I am filming over water. And obviously no collision detection...
I film windsurfing so my drone usually has to deal with a lot of wind while going fast (40-60 km/h) and at some range. I am overall pretty impressed with the Mavic Air, but also have to go to sports mode to keep up with the windsurfers (they like to sail with the wind coming from the side). The...
