Been using a Vortex for years. How it works But I’m flying large 30” X8’s and similar for work. Wouldn’t bother with my mavic air2, seem pretty smooth already. That static balancer in the first photo would probably my your balance worse lol.

I never land or takeoff from the ground. Way too much dust and dirt around here. If I could do this with my X8 lidar scanning rig I would... But with 8 X 27" props and 18kg, I've only done it once because of a landing gear strut. That was truly terrifying lol.

I have to fly regularly for work during the winter. So from November to the end of march we use a cooler/warmer unit. Bought a cheap temp. unit off ebay and wired it up to a 12v deep cycle battery. I keep the batteries around 35c and up to 40c if it's really cold. Almost lose no time, but...

Besides my Iphone XS, I also tried a 6S with the same result. It says it's charging, but it's not lol. Must be the controller or the lightning to usb C cable. Odd that the phone would show charging in either case.

All my controller does is drain the battery. Brilliant.

Try fly a Mavic air 2 all day in -5 to 0c. Good luck. The controller won’t charge the phone (iphone xs). I heard earlier controllers weren’t compatible with iOS devices, but the air 2 was. So in the app, phone charging selected, good so far. Phone beeps and the lightning icon shows up, it must...

I can see how to unlock restricted zones, but nothing about unlocking the 120 meter height warning. A real pain as the big red warning box takes up a good bit of real-estate on your monitor! I'm never over my legal AGL limit, but flying up steep terrain.

So does the HDMI out work with the Mavic Air 2?

I'm sure the SC supports HDMI out using the MA2, but just want to confirm. Got a pair of Glyph googles : ) Tried a battery powered Apple TV through my phone... A little laggy, but every so often it will just freeze for a while. Not good lol.

How did you get a hold of them? That would be a great charger! More blinky lights and displays are always better : )

I like the blue aluminum unit, but the white one works great. Now I can charge for days off grid!

Did a little more test. Latency is there, but not bad. I wouldn’t race a tight fpv course lol.

It’s peer to peer from the iPhone to the Apple TV so no wifi network isn’t required. Can’t see any delay from the phone to the goggles. Way better than looking at my iPhone display! Funny thing is the goggles are bigger than the drone lol.
